Air Traffic Control
Admission Requirements
The following guidelines will be utilized to review applications for
admission to the Air Traffic Control program.
High School Graduate
-
3.00 / 4.0 High School GPA
-
21 ACT Composite Score / 1100 SAT
-
3 years of high school math (no grade below a C)
-
3 years of high school science (no grade below a C)
Transfer Student
-
3.0 GPA in transferable courses
-
High school transcript will be required
-
ACT / SAT Test Scores will be required
Second Degree
-
2.75 cumulative college GPA
-
No grade below C in foundation courses
High School and Transfer Applicants admissible to Lewis but do not
meet ATC criteria

Will be offered admission to
Aviation Administration
-
Can petition for admission to ATC after completion of a minimum
of 24 credit hours at Lewis
-
Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in Lewis coursework
Lewis ATSAT Administered Exam (to be developed based on FAA exam)
-
All students will be required to take the Lewis ATSAT exam
in order to progress into the upper division
courses in the ATC program

A passing exam grade will be a pre-requisite for any 300 or
400 level courses

Student unable to achieve a passing grade will be advised into
another aviation major
